AVILON TRUST TATE

defining triple threat artistry

Avilon Trust Tate is a triple threat artist hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, whose passion for performance spans across music, dance, and theater. Avilon began his artistic journey at just 18 months old at his mother’s dance studio, The Pointe! Company and Technique Conservatory. His early immersion in dance laid the foundation for a career defined by versatility and creativity, later leading him to a BFA in Musical Theater from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) in 2024.

Tate’s love for the stage grew from community theater and blossomed into a successful career on Broadway and beyond. He’s currently playing the role of Jermaine Jackson in the first national tour of MJ The Musical. Previously, he was apart of the first national tour of Mean Girls (2022), where he understudied the role of Mr. Duvall, and The Wiz (2023-24), where he was a key ensemble member and understudied the role of Tin Man during its Pre-Broadway and Broadway run.

Avilon’s dance credits are equally impressive, having studied with prestigious institutions such as the Dance Theatre of Harlem, Charlotte Ballet, Alvin Ailey, and the Commercial Dance Intensive (UNCSA). His theatrical endeavors have also taken him to renowned stages like The Muny, showcasing his dynamic talents in a wide array of performances across the country.

In addition to his theatrical and dance career, Avilon is a self-taught recording, mixing, and mastering engineer. He has already released several singles, songs, and albums, building a distinct blend of R&B, pop, and Musical Theater that highlights his unique musical vision.

Currently, Tate is releasing his own self written music and gearing up to release an EP. This project will showcase his versatility as a composer and producer. With his growing catalog of music and continued success on stage, Avilon Trust is an artist who is steadily rising across both the musical and theatrical worlds, creating a brand for himself in this industry.
